The inciting incident has struck. The antagonist is poised. You’re 20,000 words deep… and suddenly unsure where to step next. So you pause, sketch out the next few beats. Should your MC travel, reach out to someone, hunt for a crucial object, escape the sorcerer’s grasp? This is the moment to draft those key plot points — to layer more flesh onto the bones.

Then the worry creeps in: Will it make sense? Will it flow? Will the ending land?
